Gender assessment is available at a minimum of 18 weeks during pregnancy (nominally during the second and third trimesters). However, for 3D ultrasound keepsake images, the quintessential time frame is between 26 and 32. Mothers having twins are best seen between 20 and 24 weeks.
Please note: 3D/4D ultrasound does NOT contribute any harmful or adverse effects like x-rays or CT scans. There is no radiation or dye used. Some women are fearful that 3D ultrasound is painful. This is purely mythical. There is no pain during 3D ultrasound.
